  So honestly hibachi isn't my "thing". It seems so outdated. However after my experience at Ooka Sushi I may have to change that and say hibachi is at least still "a thing".
  We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We made a reservation for my daughter's birthday (at her request) and ended up calling back for a later time slot. They were accommodating; however I must note it was a Monday night. YMMV depending on which day of the week you plan to dine here. There was a light crowd but our chef performed as if he were in front of a full house! He was so entertaining! My 10 year old daughter laughed, enjoyed his random moments of breaking out and singing the happy birthday song and trying to flop veggies into everyone's open mouths (yes I know - it was as hilarious and corny as it sounds)
  
  The vibe is definitely cooler than most hibachi restaurants. It is indeed a lounge and sexy enough for a date night but also perfect for a special family night out.
  
  The food was pretty good, possibly the best hibachi I've had in the area.
  
  I had a spiced pear martini and it was really tasty!  
  
  Only minus was after the Hibachi "show" the waitresses started bringing out to-go bags  and boxes without prompting. Our plates were still half full! It made us feel as though we were being rushed. So one star off for bringing plastic bags and styrofoam boxes to the table without a request for them. It cheapened the experience.

  Food was very tasty.  Only issue was that they started the  hibachi, and we were served the fried rice and noodles before getting the soup or salad.  We had to ask twice for someone to finally come bring it.  No apologies or anything.  Seemed as if they were trying to sit people down and leave ASAP, so that they can seat more people.
  
  Our cook was not very Impressive.  The fried rice had eggs and had corn? Never had it with corn? I asked that my salmon not be over cooked and it was.
  
  However they were kind enough to give my mom a birthday celebration ice cream, which she enjoyed.

  We came in with an open mind to try a new hibachi place we hadn't tried before and that's pretty much where our good experience ended.
  
  We asked for hibachi for 2 and while we waited for a table we read the list of "rules" that's right over the host stand. One of them being "no hibernation - other people need to eat too". Rude. Then the host SNAPPED his fingers at us to get our attention. Think like you're trying to get your dog's attention type of finger snap. It threw us completely off guard. We tried to make a comment to him as he led us to our table but he completely disregarded us and bolted once we were within range of the table. This left me and my husband totally STEAMING throughout the meal. Not a great way to start at all.
  
  The wait staff kept getting orders confused. They brought our two glasses of wine to another table as well as our gyoza and shumai appetizer. Another couple actually took our wine thinking it was theirs and almost took a sip and the staff almost gave us those exact glasses instead of getting fresh ones. We never actually did see them pour fresh glasses so they probably did give us the same ones
  
  The hibachi itself was only okay. Their soup basically tasted like hot water. My husband didn't even have a chance to try it before they came around and cleared it away without even asking if we were done.
  
  They douse EVERYTHING in lots of teriyaki sauce which for me was too sweet. I look forward to a nice grilled hibachi lobster with just the flavors from the hibachi and using my own sauces but this was way too sweet and I couldn't even use the sauces they gave us. The portions of meat were small too. And the filet did NOT taste like filet.  We asked for a side of garlic butter sauce - usually Japanese steakhouses just make this on the hibachi top and it's great. This time they put some butter and raw garlic in a bowl and microwaved it for us -- barf.
  
  The chef pouring sake into our mouths got it EVERYWHERE. All over my face, clothes, in my eyes.. all over my husband's face and clothes.. and it wasn't just a fluke. He did it twice. We spent time to dress up nice for a date night and got covered.
  
  I had to order a second glass of wine four times before they brought it over - even with flagging down the same person.  The waitstaff was completely confused and absolutely disorganized.
  
  Hibachi service was rushed and even though my husband was still eating, they were distributing all the checks and it felt like they were rushing us out. (No hibernation, right??) When we go to hibachi, we are prepared to be there for a couple hours - enjoy a couple drinks, watch the hibachi show... But we were in and out within 57 minutes.
  
  I honestly felt like I was just a bother to the staff to even be there. And the food was subpar. We absolutely will not be back.

  While visiting my cousin we were searching for a good place for sushi nearby, and yelp led us to Ooka.  Our GPS actually took us past it, but we were able to find it no problem.  Not sure if that was just our GPS or if others have that problem.
  
  The sushi was very fresh, tasty and flavorful.  We each ordered our own specialty roll, and one for the table to share.  We shared the mango lover roll, which may have been my favorite.  The mango was juicy and sweet and the other flavors in the roll worked together really well.  I ordered the lobster tempura roll which was fresh and yummy as well.  My husband ordered the King Dragon Roll which was probably my favorite, the eel and the sauce were a yummy combination.  We all commented that all of the rolls had a good ratio of flavors, and none had too much rice.
  
  It was nice inside, having the typcial feel of sushi/hibachi places.  It was clean and service was prompt.  Can't comment about the hibachi as we were so in the mood for sushi.  
  
  We were in the restaurant for about an hour or so, and during that time they played their birthday song 4 separate times.  I'm not sure if there really were 4 birthdays being celebrated in that time frame, or that is just something that they do, but they placed the song out of the speakers and it was extremely loud.  Between the birthday songs, they had other more popular sort of music playing and it was at a good volume to still be able to converse well with your table, but the birthday song was really blaring.  It was a bit annoying, but overall we enjoyed the food a lot, and it was a good evening out.

  Took my mother here for her birthday dinner. I must say it was pretty fun. When we walked in we told them it was for a group of 6 but only 4 of us were there so we had to wait for the whole party to be seat. Once everyone arrived we were seated quickly.
  
  When the waitress came she asked what we wanted to drink. We saw sangria on the menu and had to try it. They had 3 options. Red, white and blue. We opted for the red pitcher sangria. The sangria gave us about 9 small glasses in total.
  
  We all ordered our food after the waitress brought our drinks. We ordered calamari appetizer and it was surprisingly good. I got the filet mignon and chicken. Hibachi came with a salda, soup, noddles, fried rice and of course whatever meat you want. The soup was my least favorite, it was very fishy. My favorite was the steak. It was delicious. My sister got shrimp tempura roll and said it was the best she ever had. My grandma had the shrimp and lobster hibachi and loved it.
  
  The chef we had was funny. He had a lot of jokes. Made the show great. We got the traditional saki poured in our mouth. The onion volcano fire. They also play a birthday song for the birthday person. They give them an Asian character to put over your face and some ice cream. I can definitely see myself going back.
